PTF Meeting – Tuesday, Dec. 6, 1:00PM

What in the world does PTF stand for, you ask?  At West Hills Christian School, it stands for Parent Teacher Fellowship (similar to PTA in the public school system) and we’d love to invite any and all WHCS parents to join in. PTF meets every other month on campus to connect and collaboratively plan! Our parent community makes up such a large percentage of the heartbeat of our school and we are grateful for each one of you! Please join us next Tuesday!  We’ve got a lot on the ball and we know you have a lot to offer too so have a LOOK SEE and decide for yourself!  We’d love to meet you there!

Take Action Inc. Drive Ends – Thursday, Dec. 8

West Hills Christian School and Take Action INC. (In the Name of Christ) have partnered together again for the 6th consecutive year to feed local children in 22 area schools who go home at the end of their school week and have nothing to eat until Monday morning.  We want to help be a part of bridging the gap for these kiddos in need.  Our Food Drive will end on December 8th!

The program, developed in 1995, works like this:  We help gather and sort the food that is brought in, and then volunteers will fill the backpacks with the food and deliver it to the students in need before the weekend.  It’s just that simple. Here’s how YOU can part of something big:

This list of non-perishable food items (NO homemade items please) has been specifically put together in order to achieve the goal of packing the backpacks in a safe and healthy manner. TAI can ONLY use the following items:

Oatmeal (individual packets)
Breakfast bars
Cereal (individual boxes)
Canned meat
Canned Tuna
Chicken Helper
Tuna Helper
Healthy snacks
Protein bars
Canned meals (chili, stew)
Canned pasta sauce
Applesauce or Fruit cups
Canned soup
Bags of Rice & Beans
Peanut butter
Non-perishable milk
Juice boxes

Additionally:  Cash donations allow Take Action INC. to purchase food at deep discounts from the Oregon Food Bank.  100% of all donations are used to purchase food.  Financial donations are tax-deductible. Donate online at

Thank you for your heart of generosity!
