Take Action INC (In The Name of Christ) Drive Ends – Friday, Feb. 13

Our all school food drive wraps up this Friday, February 13. Thank you for donating to this very special cause to help students in 22 different area schools who leave school on Fridays and don’t have anything to eat until Monday morning. Collection stations are located in all wings. Specific needs for donations are:

Oatmeal (individual packets)
Cereal (individual boxes)
Canned tuna
Healthy snacks
Protein bars
Canned pasta sauce
Cans of soup
Peanut butter
Non-perishable milk
Breakfast bars
Canned meat
Chicken Helper
Tuna Helper
Canned meals (i.e., chili, stew)
Applesauce or fruit cups
Bags of rice &/or beans
Jelly
Juice boxes

Additionally:  Cash donations allow Take Action INC. to purchase food at deep discounts from the Oregon Food Bank.  100% of all donations are used to purchase food. Take Action Inc. Food Drive – January 23-February 13

Thank you so much to the many who have already donated or shared in this drive.  We have a ways to go – so please press on to help provide for the many students in over 22 area schools who will go home on any given Friday and have nothing to eat until Monday morning when they come back to school.  West Hills Christian School and Take Action INC. (In the Name of Christ) are linking together to help support these kiddos.  Your donations of the following items will be sorted, packaged and delivered by our own 7th/8th Graders on February 13.  Please be a part of our call to action by sharing/donating the following items. Take Action Inc. Kick-Off Assembly – Thursday, Jan. 22, 2:40PM

Join us as we launch our All School Food Drive partnering with Take Action INC. (In the Name of Christ) to feed local children in need.  Did you know that there are many students in over 22 area schools who go home on Friday afternoons and have nothing to eat until Monday morning when they come back to school?  Donating the non-perishable items listed below between January 23 and February 13, will help ensure these kiddos receive at least something to eat on the weekends.  Our 7th/8th graders will sort, package and deliver food items to the schools on Friday, February 13.

Take Action Inc. Food Drive Ends – Friday, Feb. 14

This is the last week for our All School Food Drive.  The piles of food items are building in each hallway, thanks to you and your students!  We trust you will feel led to continue to send in more items this week to help support the children in our area schools who would otherwise go hungry from Friday afternoons to Monday mornings! (Sidebar:  If we fill all the designated areas in each hallway with the food items mentioned above, Mr. Stefan has agreed to wear a pig costume all day for the Valentines Day parties on campus this Friday and we KNOW you’d like to see that)! Again, thank you so much for your support for these precious kiddos!
