Last Day To Turn In BoxTops For Education – Friday, May 30

Our BoxTops program is coming to an end for the year; however, you still have until the end of school tomorrow (Friday) to turn in those BoxTops and make a difference for your kiddo’s class contest!  Right now the top three classes are:  Kent, Killian and Fischer. Help make a difference and cut out or tear off those pink BoxTops For Education labels, put them in a baggie and label them with your child’s classroom.  Have your kiddos turn them in to the marked collection bin down by the kitchen!  It’s free money for the school! Besides – who doesn’t love a fun contest that ends in a class party!!

Crusader Day Buy-In Parties!

Do you love to host parties or organize events?  Do you have a special talent or possess unique knowledge?  If so, what better way to support West Hills and contribute to Crusader Day than by hosting a Buy-In party!

Buy-In parties are hosted events where participants pay to participate!   You host and donate the party and your participants “buy-in” to a great event!  The proceeds benefit West Hills and your event helps to build community!

Past Buy-In parties have included themed dinners at the hosts’ house, lessons taught by the host and kid-oriented parties organized by the host.  There is no limit to how creative you can get!

If you would like to host a party, contact Valerie Bowler (houseoducks@comcast.net) or Carri McBride (donandcarri@comcast.net).  If you’d like to host but need ideas, we are happy to help brainstorm!

Summer Cheer, Stunt And Tumble Class

The summer Cheer Stunt and Tumble Class will be available again this year.  Here’s what you need to know:

Who:  5th-8th Graders
Where:  Oregon Dream Teams (11000 SW 11th Street – Suite 420, Beaverton, OR.)
When:  Wednesdays (4-5pm)
Cost:  Summer (7/9-8/27) $50; Fall (9/3-11/19) $75; Winter (12/3-2/25) $75

Come learn to tumble and stunt from a certified ODT cheer instructor at the Oregon Dream Teams facility in Beaverton!  If you dream of becoming a cheerleader or would like to sharpen your skills, come and join us!

Soles2Souls Volunteers Needed & Drop Off Registration Today At PM Carpool, May 19

Click the S2S Registration Form 2014 and register for our Soles2Souls run on June 7. Forms can be dropped off at PM Carpool today.  Folks will be there to take it for you! Volunteers are still needed for Race Day so click here to sign up!  We’d LOVE to have you on the team!

 

No School – Friday Through Monday, May 23-26

This Friday is a Work Day for our Teachers and Monday is the Memorial Day holiday – which means no school for students!  It also means you have two very good reasons to enjoy a break for the final year end stretch!   Be safe and enjoy the holiday!

2014-2015 Online Supply Kits Now Available For Ordering

It’s time to order your Student Supply Kits for the 2014-2015 school year!  You’ll need to enter our school account number of 91621 and then order away.  It’s so easy and convenient!   Just fyi – after Friday, June 20th, the kits will no longer be available online.  At that point  you’ll have to go to our website to find your child’s Supply List. Supply Kits ordered online will be on your child’s desk the first day of school.  Please keep in mind that there might be a couple items you will still need to purchase outside of the kit  (i.e., p.e. clothes, bibles,  etc.) so you’ll want to be sure to check that out by looking at the Supply List on our website!

Soles2Souls Registration Drop-Off – Monday, May 19

Registration is still open for our Soles 2 Souls 5K/10K run at the the awesome cost of only $10.00 for ages 10 years and up and $5.00 for ages 5-10.  All you have to do is complete the S2S Registration Form 2014 and turn it in!  Folks will be available at Monday carpool pickup time to receive your registration!
